International Women’s Day is a reminder that we should be proud of how far Hong Kong women and girls have come in advancing their ambitions and careers. Women are the majority of university graduates. We are launching businesses in record numbers. We are serving at the highest levels of government and business.
The TWF office is buzzing with anticipation for our annual International Women's Day Lunch taking place this Friday, March 2. This year, we will spotlight the rise of three exemplary female chefs breaking barriers in a world where the most celebrated chefs are still men. We are equally anticipating hearing from one of our Financial Literacy and Employability Training Programme participants who has broken a very different set of barriers by overcoming significant challenges to create a better life for herself and her family. Their examples are an inspiration to women everywhere and serve to reinforce the work we do at TWF to equip girls and women with the resources, networks and skills they need to thrive.
