Gender Equality Summit – September 27

"Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean." – Ryunosuke Satoro, Japanese writer

The future is equality. There is no denying it, but we are not getting there fast enough.

As an organisation that strives to make gender equality a reality in Hong Kong, The Women’s Foundation (TWF) is proud to present our first Gender Equality Summit next Friday, September 27 2019 at the HKEX Connect Hall.

At this stimulating half day event to mark TWF’s 15 year anniversary, speakers will connect the dots on how specific topics such as male allies, sexual harassment, carer responsibilities, creative work approaches, technology and women leaders each contribute to moving the dial forward for gender equality as a whole around the theme of “It’s impossible until it’s done”.

We are excited to welcome 30 speakers, a mix of local and international experts, presenting in English and Cantonese supported by simultaneous interpretation. This summit will foster forward-looking conversations and work out real solutions with interactive elements and activities.

This is not just another conference. We aim to set the tone for what we all need to do to achieve gender equality here in Hong Kong. We are bringing together business, government, academia, media, NGOs, gender equality and inclusion veterans, and young people who have already made an impact, together to brainstorm collaborative solutions to advance women and girls’ progress in Hong Kong.

Join us at this remarkable half-day Summit – equality for all is a vitally important issue in Hong Kong and we are looking to achieve significant, measurable progress. Please visit this dedicated website for more information and to register.

We can think of no better time to hold this discussion and give back to Hong Kong.

Gender equality is calling. Let’s create our future, together. Will you join us?
