Check out these three amazing women changing the learning landscape!

I had the pleasure of moderating the Energising Learning panel at last week's Women's Forum in Deauville. My panellists comprised three amazing women doing amazing things in education and I am sure you will find their stories as inspiring as I did!

Mary Anne de Amorim Ribeiro

Mary Anne de Amorim Ribeiro is the founder of PUPA Education which works to fill the gap in early childhood development programmes in Brazil, focusing particularly on developing their social competence, language skills and critical thinking through playful learning activities. Today, PUPA reaches hundreds of thousands of children between 0 and 6 from low-income families across Brazil. Mary won the 2014 Ashoka/Lego Education Global Challenge for change makers who are re-imagining learning.

Ramona Pierson
As a 22 year old marine out on a run, Ramona Pierson was hit by a drunk driver which left her in a coma for 18 months and when she woke up she was blind, couldn’t walk and couldn’t speak. Well – she recovered and became a neuroscientist, she’s led a software development venture and she’s on her third tech start up Declara which enables people to learn by connecting with experts and others. Her fans include President Obama who admitted she's so bright, he can only really understand half of what she says. There’s a great Youtube video of him paying tribute to her.

Virginie Morgon
Virginie Morgon is Deputy CEO of Eurazeo, a leading listed investment company with over 5 billion Euros under management. Virginie is a member of Eurazeo’s Executive Board and co-leads the investment team and also sits on a number of company boards including Accor, Moncler, L'Oréal and Vivendi. Passionate about education, Virginie is spearheading Eurazeo’s involvement in two ground breaking education projects in France - Agir Pour L'Ecole and Apprentis d'Auteuil
