We had an energising afternoon at our International Women’s Day Lunch on March 1 under the theme “Curating Culture, Inspiring Change”, raising critical funds to continue our work. We were touched by the enthusiastic support from our guests, friends, allies and partners at The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong. The event was a wonderful opportunity to inspire change across the city for gender equality and collaborate together to create the conditions where women and girls can thrive.
We are immensely grateful to our Title Sponsor the Financial Times and Associate Sponsor Citi for their tremendous dedication. This IWD Lunch would not have been possible without their generous support.
Our event featured a panel discussion led by the Financial Times’ Isabel Berwick with fantastic speakers, Camille Cheng, Daisy Yiyou Wang and Septime Webre who shared how they are inspiring inclusive change in their respective fields. We were touched to hear the heartfelt sharing by our Programme participants, Benji Li, Karndeep Singh, and Zoey Chen together with English for Good tutor / mentor Raven Tao.
We would also like to thank our incredible emcee, Alyson Hau, and pledge co-leads, Daniella Lopez and Ewan McAllan.
We’re deeply grateful to our Platinum sponsors, Hogan Lovells and KKR.
Thanks also to our Gold Sponsors: Bank of America, Bloomberg, BNP Paribas, Champion REIT, DBS, Moody’s and Skadden; and our Silver Sponsors: CIBC, Clifford Chance, CLP, Cooley, DFI Retail Group, FWD Group, Leathwaite, State Street and Stratford Finance.
We are grateful to our Prize Sponsors: Fortnum & Mason, FREY., Hong Kong China Rugby, Hong Kong International Literary Festival, LANE-EIGHT, L’ECOLE, School of Jewelry Arts and Mindful Sparks; our Media Partner, JESSICA; our Supporting Partners Create Productions, Pop-up Film, SCMP and Victoria Wines; as well as to our fantastic photographers, Isaac Lawrence, Stephen Ng and Jayne Russell.
Thank you to everyone who helped us raise critical funds to support TWF’s research, advocacy and programmes to improve the lives of women and girls in Hong Kong.
We are confident that with our continued collaboration, it won’t take 189 years for us to achieve gender equality. We can make gender equality a reality within our lifetime.
Let’s make it happen!
