She Objects
Objectives:
The She Objects documentary and campaign spotlighted the role of the media in creating and exacerbating damaging gender stereotypes in society. It also challenged consumers and content creators to think critically about the correlation between the media’s portrayal of women and eating disorders and self-esteem issues for girls, violence against women and the erosion of female ambition.
Recognition
She Objects was screened at the FLO Film Festival in Mumbai and was part of the Official Selection at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival: Hong Kong. The film won the Scientific and Education Award in Nice International Film Festival 2017 and received an Award of Merit for the World Documentary Awards 2018.
