Life Skills Programme
About The Programme
The Life Skills Programme trained mid-late teenagers critical life skills in financial literacy, healthy relationships and well-being, life and career planning, to empower them to reach their full potential. The Programme also offered parent and teacher workshops to ensure a strong support network would be in place for the teen participants.
Objective
The Programme aimed to provide adolescent girls and boys with financial literacy training and a greater sense of financial responsibility, guidance in positive well-being and healthy relationships, as well as career and life planning to empower them to reach their full potential.
Key Programme Elements
It employed a tripartite model (students, parents, teachers) with an emphasis on positive psychology and resilience skills development that have been adapted for the local context.
Impact
Over the course of six years, the Programme has trained over 14,000 mid-late adolescents.
