Happy International Women’s Day! At TWF, we know equal opportunities do not always mean equal outcomes. This is why this year’s theme #EmbraceEquity resonates strongly with the work that we do together with all of you to level the playing field and provide resources, tools and opportunities to create a gender equitable city.
We were thrilled to kick off International Women’s Day celebrations at our Lunch last Friday, raising critical funds to continue our work. We were touched by the enthusiastic support from our guests, friends, allies and partners.
We are immensely grateful to our Associate Sponsor Citi for their tremendous dedication. This IWD Lunch would not have been possible without their generous support.
We had an inspiring afternoon with panel discussion led by Damien Mooney, Managing Director of BlackRock, with fantastic speakers, Dr Angélica Anglés Planetary scientist & Astrobiologist, Gigi Chao | Cheuk Nang Holdings Vice Chair & LGBTIQ advocate, and Lily Cheng Hubel Labs Founder & Public Board Director, sharing their experiences of being outliers in their respective fields and discussing how we all can create more inclusive workplaces. We were touched to hear the heartfelt sharing by participants in our social media marketing skills training, Betty Hon and Susanna Ip.
We would also like to thank our amazing emcee, Yamilette Cano, and pledge co-leads, Daniella Lopez and Jen Flowers.
A big thank you to our Platinum Sponsor, Hogan Lovells.
