About The Job
The Women’s Foundation is seeking a full-time Communications and Advocacy Officer / Senior Officer to join its dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a range of programmes making an impact across the Hong Kong business community and beyond.
The position would suit someone who is collaborative, energetic, organised and passionate about gender equality.
Principal Responsibilities
Social Media and Content Creation (50%)
Develop, curate, and manage engaging content for multimedia marketing collateral and communications platforms (website, newsletter, annual and impact reports, event collateral, and social media), ensuring alignment with the TWF’s mission and voice.
Track, analyse, and report on CRM and social media metrics, leveraging insights to optimise engagement and reach.
Support the creation and editing of multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and photography for online and offline use.
Work cross-functionally and externally to support the execution of multimedia campaigns supporting fundraising and mission goals with overall communications and marketing strategies.
Advocacy and Research Support (50%)
Assist in the research and drafting of advocacy materials, including position papers and submissions to local and international stakeholders.
Stay up to date with gender equality trends and policies in Hong Kong and globally, providing analysis and insights to inform advocacy strategies.
Collaborate with external partners and community organisations to advance advocacy campaigns and initiatives.
Contribute to events or initiatives with thought leadership and advocacy components, including (but not limited to) panel discussions, interviews, presentations and speeches.
Assist with the content creation for, and co-delivery of, workshops on a variety of gender-related topics to organisations and universities.
Support with research coordination and adapting research findings for different stakeholders.
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in communications, social media management, public relations, or advocacy-related roles.
A strong interest in, and some knowledge of, issues surrounding gender equality, women’s empowerment, and / or masculinities.
Proven experience in content creation for digital platforms, including strong English and Traditional Chinese writing and editing skills.
Familiarity with social media analytics tools and ability to interpret data to optimise.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear and concise materials.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a proactive team environment.
Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
Essential Skills
Fluency in English and Cantonese (spoken and written) is essential.
Strong ties to the Hong Kong local community, women’s and gender issues; NGO experience is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Digital/social media experience is essential; CRM experience is a plus.
Creative and growth mindset.
Thrives in a collaborative and proactive team environment.
