Boardroom and C-Suite Leadership Programme: Increasing Visibility for Women Leaders
The Boardroom and C-Suite Leadership Programme brings together decisionmakers and women leaders to create opportunities for women who may not be able to access critical networks in Hong Kong. The Programme also encourages women leaders who are interested in transitioning into a board role longer term to explore what it would mean for them and what experience, networks and skillset they will need to acquire to reach board positions later on in their careers.
We aim to advance women leaders in Hong Kong through the following objectives:
Increasing knowledge & leadership skills
Participants gain insights into the realities and nuances of senior leadership and board directorship appointments as well as develop leadership skills such as strategic positioning and negotiation, and specific subjects as legal, governance and risk management
Facilitating Strategic Connections
Participants are connected to critical business networks and the board community in Hong Kong
Actioning Diversity in Senior Leadership
The Programme brings together key decision makers and participants to action diversity in senior leadership in Hong Kong
Programme Highlights
Boardroom and C-Suite Leadership Programme consists of monthly virtual or in-person engagements covering the following potential topics delivered by select external knowledge partners or speakers:
- How to position yourself for senior leadership positions, including for a board
- Hearing from highly esteemed senior leaders and board directors about their journeys, with the opportunity of direct interaction
- Governance
- Legal and compliance trends
- Organisational leadership considerations, including in relation to ESG and AI
- Leadership skills for the boardroom
Participants enjoy the following opportunities to increase their access to critical business networks in Hong Kong:
- Networking with candidates on our Women to Watch Platform
- Access to critical business networks is key to any transition to the C-suite or boardroom. This is why our programme is designed to help participants expand their networks. Participants will have unique opportunities to meet diverse stakeholders in the board community, including experienced directors, executive search firm representatives, and industry leaders.
Through engagements and networking opportunities, participants will learn more about the diverse opportunities and pathways to leadership positions that exist in Hong Kong. Regardless of the stage you are at in your board journey, this programme can help equip you with the knowledge to make more informed decisions about your career.

30% Club Hong Kong
In 2013, The Women’s Foundation launched the 30% Club Hong Kong – a group of Board Chairs and business leaders who are committed to bringing more women onto Hong Kong corporate boards. Today, we continue as its Secretariat and work together to advocate for holistic changes to create the conditions for board gender parity in Hong Kong.
Women to Watch Platform
The Women’s Foundation Women to Watch Platform features accomplished senior women leaders actively seeking board opportunities. By providing access to the Platform, we aim to support organisations in their search for female board directors. We invite applications for corporates to access the Platform and for senior woman leaders to apply to be on the Platform.
