In October 2025, the Women Chief Executives Hong Kong, KPMG, and The Women’s Foundation published research on "Hong Kong’s Leading Role in Advancing Gender Leadership Opportunities in Financial Services".

The findings show women now hold 45% of senior leadership positions and 37% of board director positions in Hong Kong’s financial sector – double-digit increases since 2018.

The report looks at the combination of regulatory, societal, and organisational advances that have contributed to this progress and explores several opportunities for continued advancement.
