About the Programme
Launched in 2015, Girls Go Tech is a year-long school-based programme that aims to encourage junior secondary school girls from under-privileged backgrounds to pursue traditionally male-dominated STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) related subjects to maximise their future career options.
Building on the successful 2015-2016 pilot, TWF has expanded the reach of the Programme to benefit 360 F.1-F.2 girls from 9 schools in the 2016/2017 cycle and 520 F.1-F.2 girls from 13 schools in the 2017/2018 cycle. In the 2018/2019 cycle, we continue the GGT School Programme to benefit 200 F.1- F.2 girls from 5 schools, alongside a brand new element, the GGT Alumni Programme which aims to sustain and further develop alumni's interest in STEM through advanced and engaging learning experience.
In 2020, the GGT School and Alumni Programmes were merged to Girls Go Tech Programme to benefit more female secondary school students in F.3-F.6 and schools that serve a proportion of students from deprived backgrounds.
